The material is 0-8mm in size. The material is very good for shotcrete as it is very blunt and gets less stuck in the pipe that is used for this operation. The absorption of water is small with this material, workability is good and not much water and extra chemicals are needed. This is why the material is well suited for shotcrete. The material has been used in several tunnels for cars here in Iceland.
